The 2026 International O&M Online Symposium
invites you to share your expertise
with our global community live at our annual symposium on January 26-28,2026.

 

 PLEASE READ THIS PAGE IN FULL BEFORE APPLYING. 

Our Symposium is Orientation and Mobility’s premier platform for growth, inspiration, and innovative teaching strategies. We welcome all perspectives, ideologies, and backgrounds to share the stage. 

 

Presentations are typically 1 hour in length. We have multiple Keynote spots. If you would like to apply to present as a 1.5 hour Keynote, please list that in the application. We can’t guarantee a 1.5 hour spot. Also, if our community and team think your topic would be a good Keynote, we may ask you to increase your presentation time.

 

Our community will choose the presentations they want to see. Then, our Planning Committee will create the agenda.

While we welcome presentations from vendors, our commitment is to provide innovative strategies that teachers can use immediately. You will have a better chance of being selected if your presentation shows how Orientation and Mobility Specialists can use your product in their classes. Stipends are not available for presentations that market a free or paid product.

 Presenters agree to: 

 

âś… Communicate with our team within 2 business days of our correspondence.
 
✅ Submit their presentation slides by January 2, 2026.
 
✅ Present their content live at their agreed upon date and time.
 
✅ Attend a presentation walkthrough in early January.

  Is my idea a good topic for a presentation? 

 

Usually, if you’re asking this question, the answer is YES. You’re probably overthinking it, or have fears that your way isn’t “THE” way to do it. 

 

Totally understandable. Just remember, if your idea is one step ahead of someone who hasn’t been teaching as long, then you’re in the right place. Plus, the O&M Police are barred from coming after you while you are presenting with us.

 

 What do I need in order to present? 

 

You need a strategy that increases the O&M skills of your learners, a strong internet connection, and a stronger desire to share your truth. 

 

Don’t apply if you don’t have all 3 of those.
